Larson's Algebra 1 Tech Notes

  1. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "Unable to open file ‘[path to file]filename’ because it is already open with write permission by another user", where "[path to file]" is the path to a program file on the server, and "filename" is the file's name.
  2. Using Larson's Algebra 1 causes a Director Player error.
  3. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "Program files are missing. Check that the network drive where Larson's Math Series program was installed is mounted".
  4. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "Unable to open file P:/Larson Math Series/lmsprog/casts/filename.cxt because it is already open with write permission by another user.", where "P" is the name of a mapped drive or mounted sharepoint and "filename" is the file's name.
  5. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "Problem reading file ‘P:/Larson Math Series/lmsindex/teachlst.txt.’", where "P" is a mapped drive.
  6. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "Problem reading file. ‘C:\Program Files\Larson's Math Series\prefs\lms.ini’" where "C" is the local hard drive.
  7. Trying to start the Classroom Management System (CMS) or student program causes the error message, "Movie htap cannot be loaded, the file version is too new."
  8. Installing Larson's Algebra 1 a file creation error.
  9. Running Larson's Algebra 1 causes the error message, "The student data files are missing. Check that the network drive where the Larson's Math Series student data files are stored is mounted. Student Data Path = P:\path to folder\lmsindex\", where "P" is the name of a mapped drive and "path to folder" is the path to the "lmsindex" folder.
  10. Using the calculator causes the error message, "Sorry, error in reading/writing".
  11. Selecting Question Box from the "Oops" menu allows the problem to be tried again, and the Question Box never opens.
