QUESTION:
How do I map a network drive?

ANSWER:
Larson software requires a mapped network drive in order to be installed and for accessing program files located on the network. Use the instructions below to map a network drive.

  1. Right click on "My Computer".
  2. Select "Map Network Drive. . ." from the menu. The "Map Network Drive" window will open.
  3. Click a drive letter in the box next to "Drive:." It does not matter which letter is chosen, however anytime a student or teacher wants to run the program on this computer, they must select the same drive.
  4. Click on the Browse button.
  5. The "Browse For Folder" window will open. In this window, there is a list of servers on the network. Choose the drive that contains the product files. Click on the "+" next to the server name to see the drives on that server.
  6. With the correct drive highlighted, click the OK button at the bottom of the window.
  7. There should be a check mark in the box next to "Reconnect at logon." If this is not the case, click on the box.
  8. Click the Finish button.

The drive is now mapped to the workstation. This drive must be mapped in order to install or run the program.
