QUESTION:
What permissions do students need to have to the network drive on which this program is installed?

ANSWER:

• Students need to be able to map/mount the network drive/sharepoint where the program files and student data files are located.
• Students need read only permissions to the program files. The program files are located within the movies and casts folders on the server. Ask your network administrator to check the user permissions and/or file attributes on the files to ensure that users do not have too many permissions (rights). If file attributes or user permissions are changed, it may be necessary to reboot the server in order for the change to be applied.
• Students need read/write permissions to the student data files. The student data files are located on the server in a folder entitled "xindex" where "x" represents the product abbreviation (see below for product abbreviations). Ask your network administrator to check the user permissions on the "xindex" folder to ensure that users have proper permissions to the folder and all of its contents. If user permissions are changed, it may be necessary to reboot the server in order for the change to be applied.
