QUESTION:
Is there a way to enter students into the Classroom Management System (CMS) by using an existing file that has all the students' names?

ANSWER:
The CMS can use comma-delimited text files, with a ".txt" extension, of student names as rosters. There must be one name per line within the file.

  1. Make sure that no students are logged on to the student program.
  2. Log on to the Classroom Management System (CMS).
  3. Select the appropriate grade.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Utilities.
  6. Click Create/Delete Students.
  7. Click Create Student(s).
  8. Choose a class list.
  9. Click Import Roster.
  10. Locate and select the roster file when prompted.
  11. Click Open.

For more information about importing students, refer to the Teacher's Resource Guide. A printed version of the guide is distributed with each product. An electronic version is also available. Use the Documentation menu to learn how to access the electronic version.
