QUESTION:
How do I change a class name?

ANSWER:
Class names cannot be changed. Instead, move the students to a new class with the new class name. After all of the students have been moved out of the old class, the old class will be deleted.

  1. Make sure that no students are logged on to the student program.
  2. Log on to the Classroom Management System (CMS).
  3. Select the appropriate grade.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Utilities.
  6. Click the Select Class List on the right.
  7. Select the name of the class which is to be deleted in the "Please select a class list name." box.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click New Class List.
  10. Type the name of the new class in the "Please enter a new class list name." box.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Under the name of the class which is to be deleted, highlight the name of each student to be moved. It is possible to select multiple students.
  13. Click < Add Student.

For more information about moving students between classes, refer to the Teacher's Resource Guide. A printed version of the guide is distributed with each product. An electronic version is also available. Use the Documentation menu to learn how to access the electronic version.
