Find issues common to two or more Larson Learning programs.

  1. Running the program causes the error message, "Unable to open file ‘[path to file]filename’ because it is already open with write permission by another user.", where "[path to file]" is the path to a program file on the server, and "filename" is the name of the file.
  2. Using the program causes a Director Player error.
  3. Running the program causes the error message, "Program files are missing. Check that the network drive where ‘x’ program was installed is mounted.", where "x" is the name of the program.
  4. Using the program causes the error message, "Network is busy".
  5. Running the program causes the error message, "Unable to open file ‘[path to file]filename.cxt’ because it is already open with write permission by another user.", where "[path to file]" is the path to a program file on the server, and "filename" is the name of the file.
  6. Running the program causes the error message, "Problem reading file ‘[path to file] teachlst.txt.’ Select ‘OK’ to try again or ‘Cancel’ to quit the program.", where "[path to file]" is the path to a program file on the server.
  7. Running the program causes the error message, "Problem reading file ‘[path to file]filename.ini.’", where "[path to file]" is the path to a program file on the local hard drive and "filename" is the name of the file.
  8. Trying to start the Classroom Management System (CMS) or student program causes the error message, "Movie htap cannot be loaded, the file version is too new."
  9. Starting the student program, readiness test, or Classroom Management System (CMS) causes the error message, "Problem opening ‘[path to file]’temp -34", where "[path to file]" represents the path to the file on the local hard drive.
  10. Installing the program causes a file creation error.
  11. Running the program causes the error message, "The student data files are missing. Check that the network drive is mounted."
  12. Using the calculator causes the error message, "Sorry, error in reading/writing."
  13. Selecting Question Box from the "Oops" menu allows the problem to be tried again and the Question Box never opens.
  14. Logging on to the program causes the error message, "Unable to load movie playlist. Does the .INI file exist ‘[movies]’ with an entry ‘Movie01=pathname.dir’?".
