ISSUE:
Running the program causes the error message, "Problem reading file ‘P:/Larson Math Series/lmsindex/teachlst.txt.’", where "P" is a mapped drive.

SYMPTOM:

RESOLUTION:

  1. This issue can occur when the "teachlst.txt" file is missing. To determine if this is the cause, log on to the CMS and rebuild the index. If the error no longer occurs, the original file was somehow moved, renamed, or deleted.
  2. This error can be caused when users do not have enough permissions to the "lmsindex" folder. Teachers need read, write, create, and delete permissions to the folder. Students need read and write permissions to the folder. Ask your network administrator to verify that all users have the proper permissions to files in the lmsindex folder.

Use the links below to find out how to set and change user permissions.
